The South African Social Security Agency (SASSA) in Mpumalanga is currently going to the Fernie 2 Group Hall in Mpuluzi to render services into the community.

SASSA is going to be rendering companies such as new social grant applications, change of payment method, customer care enquiries, in addition to the Social Relief of Distress (SRD) COVID-19 grant enquiries.

In a press release, the agency reported it is alarmed with regards to the significant range of people depending on social grants for survival.
“The purpose on the Integrated Registration Outreach Programme [ICROP] is to reach-out to a higher quantity of clients/beneficiaries to access SASSA services.

“This is due to lack of infrastructure at Fernie and there is no thoroughly functional office committed to service the area on a daily basis. The assistance position designed for intervention encounters a higher inflow of probable beneficiaries, that more info makes it challenging for the office to attend website to all people who check out a service point.

“In this reach-out programme, SASSA will mobilise more means to empower the servicing of all clients and increase usage of Social Assistance companies,” the agency said.
